Barcelona had to come from behind to get their Champions League campaign off to a winning start as two goals from Lionel Messi helped them beat Spartak Moscow 3-2 at the Camp Nou.

Cristian Tello had fired the hosts into the lead after just 13 minutes but Spartak refused to be overawed by their surroundings and were level 16 minutes before half-time when Dani Alves turned Emmanuel Emenike's cross into his own net.
