Portugal vs Bosnia clash for Euro 2012

euro 2012 livePortugal coach Paulo Bento went completely confident in the quality of their players before the decisive rematch of the Euro2012 play-offs against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first match ended 0-0 and it has yet to be decided.

"This will be a decisive match," he told a press conference. "It will determine whether we will be at the Euro2012 finals.

"We are convinced that we will be there and convinced that we have prepared for this match in the best possible way. The first proof of that was what happened in Bosnia and now we will try to put on a good display, just like in the last game, and try to win.

"I believe that after the the game, we will be a happy team and a happy country."

Meanwhile, Bosnia coach Safet Susic acknowledged Portugal's home advantage, but stressed that his players will not be affected by the atmosphere.

"We can say that Portugal are favourites, they will play in front of their crowd and there will be 60,000 spectators in the stands," he told reporters.

"My men play in big European teams and they do not feel the pressure. They are used to playing in full stadiums.

"Portugal have very good players, but we also have a good team, and I am confident for this match."

Pepe will once again start at centre-half at the expense of Porto defender Rolando, who will act as back-up to Bruno Alves and the Real Madrid star.

Miguel Veloso is set to retain his place in the triple pivot after his impressive showing in the first leg. Helder Postiga's starting spot is in some doubt following his dire performance last week, but is still expected to be picked ahead of Hugo Almeida.

Safet Susic will not be able to rely on first-choice right-back Mensur Mujdza, who was forced off the pitch in the 1-1 draw against France after picking up a knock, and will be out for the next three months.

Key defenders Sasa Papac and Boris Pandza return from suspension and are expected to start on Tuesday. Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is expected to retain his place in the first XI after his impressive performance in the first leg.
