Celtic vs Atletico Madrid at Celtic Park

sport live europa league bettingIn the first match of Europa League between Celtic and Atletico Madrid this 2011/12 season, Neil Lennon’s men lost with 2-0.

Celtic have yet to decide whether captain Scott Brown will feature in their game against Atletico Madrid. Brown has been sidelined with an ankle injury since mid-September but has returned to training.

Kelvin Wilson is in a similar position after recovering from an Achilles problem, while Badr El-Kaddouri is cup-tied and Thomas Rogne was not registered for European competition.

Neil Lennon: "It is a game we can't afford to lose. A draw might not be enough but if we win it, it puts us in a great position. We have picked up five wins in a row now and we are in good form. The players are in the habit of winning games and that will give the whole squad a shot in the arm."

Atletico Madrid may be without striker Radamel Falcao for the match at Celtic Park. The Colombian striker was named in the travelling squad despite missing Saturday's derby match at Real Madrid, which the Rojiblancos lost 4-1.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was sent off in that match, so manager Gregorio Manzano may opt to field reserve keeper Sergio Asenjo in preparation for Sundays fixture against Rayo Vallecano. Midfield duo Tiago and Salvio are both absent, as is defender and captain Antonio Lopez.
