Bayer missed victory

sport live bundesliga bettingGerman vice champion Bayer (Leverkusen) missed victory against Hertha (Berlin) in a game of 14th round of Bundesliga.

After trailing by 0-2, "aspirins" came to a complete turnaround and 3-2, but allowed the equalizer in the final 3:3 from the 14th round of the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger has fiercely criticised the transfer policies of big-spending duo Manchester City and Chelsea.

The former midfielder was responding to rumours linking the Bavarian club with moves for Mario Gotze and Marco Reus.

Nerlinger has played down the talk, stating how the German giants do not want build a large squad or sign players for the sake of it.

"The fact that [Gotze and Reus] are both good players is true, but I can give you many [names]. I can assure you - there will never be a Manchester City situation with us having more than 30 players. A €228 million loss - it would be a disaster for them to crash out of the Champions League," he told Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

"At Chelsea it looks similar, there you can see no real identity because they have not developed a real team. One must carefully consider who to sign. But sure, Reus is an interesting player."

Reus could be available next summer for €17.5m due to a reported contractual clause, but Nerlinger refused to concede whether the club are interested in the Borussia Monchengladbach playmaker.

"A player must be ready for Bayern and the competitive situation here. The question is how much strength does one add to the squad without leading to greater potential conflict," he added.

Bayern are in Bundesliga action on Sunday afternoon when they visit Mainz, looking to return to the top of the league.
