Secret weapon no secret for Valencia
Spanish midfielder of Chelsea Juan Mata moved the team from Valencia at the end of the transfer window this summer for 23 million pounds.
Mata on Wednesday will have to return to the "Mestalla" but this time with a Chelsea shirt in a Champions League match of the eagerly waiting for this, but on the other side hoping to be greeted properly by the local fans.
Mata spent four seasons at Valencia, where he played over 100 games and has become one of the most important players on the team. His best game for Valencia and won his place in the Spanish national football team. That's why he expects a pretty emotional game this Wednesday.
“It is going to be a very special and emotional match for me playing so soon after leaving,” he said. “I was there for four years and had a wonderful time.”
He added: “I will try to be respectful and not celebrate if I do score.”
Chelsea started this year's campaign in Group E Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen at home. Valencia, in turn, started with a scoreless draw away to Genk.
