Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has picked up a broken nose, and is rated as questionable for his team's upcoming Bundesliga clash against Hannover.The Dutchman collided with team-mate Joel Matip in his team's 0-0 draw with AEK Larnaca in Europa League Group J action at the Veltins Arena. Following medical tests, it was confirmed on Friday that he had broken his nose, but suffered no further problems.
After the match, S04 sporting director Horst Heldt feared serious facial damage and potentially an extended lay-off for his striker."We suspect he has a nasal fracture, possibly even worse. I hope that the cheekbone is not damaged," he told Goal.com.Much to his relief, Huntelaar's cheekbone was intact following the clash.
