Mihajlovic Admits Fiorentina Mistakes

Sinisa Mihajlovic has admitted he made mistakes during his time as coach of Fiorentina.

The Serbian tactician was dismissed on Monday after 16 months in charge and the Tuscan club appointed Delio Rossi as his replacement.

"I can only say that I put everything I had on the pitch," Mihajlovic told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"It was not enough and I am truly sorry.

"Now I will analyse my mistakes because I certainly made some and I will work to avoid repeating them.

"I am saddened for the (Fiorentina owners) Della Valle family, that have always been close to me and have never made me lack anything from a professional or personal standpoint."

Mihajlovic had led the Viola to ninth last season and a European place was the target this term.

However, Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Chievo was Fiorentina's fourth in the campaign and dropped the Viola to 13th place.

Rossi, who will be unveiled this afternoon, will begin his tenure at home to AC Milan on November 19.
