Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has finalized his transfer to Inter for 5 million euros.
On the last day of the transfer market and Inter signed with midfielder Andrea Polly, while split defenders David Santos and Nelson Rivas.
Forlan, 32, has signed a two-year contract with the 2010 Champions League winners and arrives as a replacement for Samuel Eto'o.
''Diego, welcome to Inter,'' read a statement on Inter's website. ''His stats tell the story of a top player that wants to continue to write new pages of his beautiful career with Inter.''
''This is an important moment,'' said Forlan. ''I have arrived to join a great team. I am mature and I have the right experience. To be here now is beautiful.''
