The Mainz man was full of praise for his team who earned a valuable victory over Huub Stevens' men to go top of the Bundesliga.
Klopp was left particularly impressed with how his team were able to control the game against last season's Champions League semi-finalists.
Goals from Robert Lewandowski and Felipe Santana earned the champions a routine victory at the Westfalenstadion to move Dortmund to the top of the Bundesliga, with Bayern Munich not playing until Sunday.
"We have not let the opponents play out from the back and we were always in control. It was a good game of football from us, from the first until the last minute. The win was well deserved," the coach told reporters after the game.
